Introduction
My Nez Perce GEDCOM consists of over 2000 members of the Nez Perce tribe. I created one big family tree connecting tribal family members back to the early 1800's. My main source was the Nez Perce allotment records. These records from 1895 detailed family relationships, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, and aunts and uncles. I also used census records, many unavailable on the Web. In addition I did extensive library research to document the Nez Perce history as it relates to genealogy. I've traced my husband's line, back through his father, back to Chief Three Feathers, who was one of the signers of the Walla Walla Counsel Treaty of 1855 between the U.S. and the Nez Perce. Other names through which my husband is related to Chief Three Feathers are his son Three Feathers (Metot Waptes, a.k.a Three Eagles), circa 1840, Lizzie Lowry (later Pablo), circa 1860, Amos Wilkinson, 1871, and Blackeagle (more than one by that name).

Due to the spamming of my guestbook (the latest spam tactic, I take it), I've had to remove my guestbook from this site. Hopefully, I will have a new guestbook up before too long, which will allow me to moderate any messages posted to it.
