Introduction
This site features genealogy research on family lines for the Spear Family, Duhig Family, Sanders Family, Armour Family, Callihan Family, Gadley Family, Nelson & Jensen Families, Morrow, Marks, and other surnames, including GEDCOMS, pictures, and links to genealogical and other resources.
I got started, over ten years ago, researching my family tree when
my aunt showed me a partially completed family tree my grandmother Josephine
worked on for many years. I found myself curious about the lives of all
those names on the tree. Since then I've expanded my research to many other branches of my family, including my maternal grandfather's, father's, and husband's family lines. In fact, I've almost run out of family to trace!
Because my husband's great great grandmother was a full-blooded Yakima Indian who was related back to the Nez Perce tribe, I also got into researching my husband's native american roots. In doing so, I ended up creating the most extensive online GEDCOM for the Nez Perce tribe available on the Web, to the extent that many have come to think of me as the Nez Perce genealogy lady, even though I don't have a drop of Native American blood (although my husband and children do). My research into the Nez Perce family history now encompasses most tribal family members still living in the late 1890's and since, including some 2,223 individuals.

Research
These are some of the family lines that I'm currently researching or have researched:
- Spear (MA), Duhig (MA &Brit.
Col.), Armour (WA) -- my maternal grandmother's main family lines. I've got a lot of information on these lines, tracing all the way back to 1650.
- Sanders, Hume, Bear (all Prince Edward Island) -- my maternal grandfather's family line, which goes back to the Mayflower. I've yet to put anything up online on these family lines yet.
- Callihan (PA & NE), Morrow (IL & NE), Marks
(IA) -- some of my father's family lines. I've been able to trace the
Callihan paternal line back through my great-grandfather, Robert Harrison Callihan (born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1854), Robert's father John H. Callihan (born about 1823 in Bedford County, PA), and Robert's grandfather John Callihan. John Callihan was the son of Thomas Callihan and Mary Proctor (Thomas was born in Ireland in 1757; Mary's was born in 1754 - birthplace uncertain).
- Gadley (PA), Lachner (Germany), Brousseau (Quebec) -- my husband's family. I've also tracked down most of the members of the Gadley family we are related to in America.
- I've also traced my husband's line, back through his father, back to Chief Three Feathers (born approximately in 1800),
who was one of the signers of the Walla Walla Counsel Treaty of 1855
between the U.S. and the Nez Perce. Other names through which my
husband is related to Chief Three Feathers are his son Three Feathers (Metot Waptes, a.k.a Three Eagles), circa 1840, Lizzie Lowry (later Pablo), circa 1860, Amos Wilkinson, 1871, and more than one Blackeagle.

Due to the spamming of my guestbook (the latest spam tactic, I take it), I've had to remove my guestbook from this site. Hopefully, I will have a new guestbook up before too long, which will allow me to moderate any messages posted to it.
Until then, you can still view My Old Guestbook
